Christmas Tree Cutting

This year we cut down our own Christmas tree. I guess that should be no surprise now that we live in do-it-yourself land. We heard about a family that grows them on their land here in town. And in true Norwich fashion, it's all on your honor. It's just a big field of trees. So, you bring your saw, pick and cut your tree and then mail the family a check for - get this - $16! And these are nice trees! We got a beautiful Frasier fur that's still going strong : )

There were plenty of trees to pick from.

It was a really pretty spot.

Tony cuts the tree with ease!

Olivia watches Daddy cut our tree while she snuggled close to Mommy. (It was a cold morning!)

Our tree is ready to come home.

Perfect!

Hey, nice tree! Care to share where you got it? We're just up Beaver Meadow Road, and we found your blog somehow.

Hi BIll - so sorry to be getting back to you so late - I haven't checked my comments in forever! We got the tree up Union Village Road. It wasn't far out of town at all. I can't remember the street name we took off of Union (something La...) - but they advertised on the Norwich listserv - so you can probably look out for it there next year. Sorry my mommy brain has gotten the best of me!
