Introducing...Juliette Noelle!

We are so happy to announce the arrival of our second daughter, Juliette Noelle Gemignani. Born on November 9th at 3:12am, she weighed in at 7lbs 6oz and 20 inches long. And while the wait was trying at times (she was 10 days late, according to my due date), it was well worth the wait! Here are some photos from her first days.

Snuggled on Mama.

Tiny feet.

With Daddy.

Finally, a look at those eyes... and that tongue!

Me and my girls.

Heading home!

At home with her big sis, Olivia.

Relaxin'

Sooooo sleepy.

Fall Fun

Yes, this is yet another quick photographic catch-up of our fun this fall. Enjoy!

Her latest hobby - collecting rocks in her pockets.... though not always in the Elton John shades.

Using the dehydrator to make dried apples from the ones we picked at the orchard.

Applauding her good job! (Note the outfit: cat pajamas with apron
and flip-flops -- the height of sophistication.

Tony works on stacking the wood for the woodstove.

Olivia helped this year in my place : )

Playing IN her new toy box (built for her birthday by Uncle Jon), while wearing her new winter hat
from GG (Great Grandma Holthusen).

Olivia Turns 2!

How fast the years are flying by! Our little girl in now a bonafide 2 years old. Complete with family, friends and cupcakes, Olivia celebrated in style. She even got her own birthday fireworks display courtesy of Uncle Jon : )  Thanks to all who spoiled her with love and gifts!

Playing in the hammock with cousins Megan and Miles.

More hammock snuggling with Meg.
Lighting her ballerina cupcake...

Sizing up her prey....

Digging in! Yum! (Olivia asked for cupcakes each day for the next week!)

Apple Picking

We did manage to squeeze in a quick trip to the local orchard this fall. Poverty Lane Orchards proved to be a lovely local spot for some apple pickin' fun.

Summer Smatter

So, since I am ridiculously behind in updating the blog (I blame the human growing in my " belly"), here is a "smattering" of pics of Olivia from this summer. Enjoy!

Olivia really enjoyed her sandbox this summer that Mommy found at the dump! Yea for free stuff!

She also enjoyed our fire pit...

...and eating the rewards!

We also found a really nice river beach ("Sandy Beach") that was perfect
 for picnics and toddler exploration.

Olivia also experienced her first "ride" at the Norwich Lions Club fair this July.
Her cousin Miles and Uncle Scott joined her and Daddy on this exciting train ride!

Enjoying berries! (her absolute favorite!)

Massadoah: AKA Gemignani Reunion 2012

This past June was host to the annual Gemignani family reunion! This year the Vermont contingent took the pilgrimage down south to meet up with our Virginia clans. Tony, Olivia and I spent a few days enjoying Washington DC and Reston, VA with the family - while also getting to stay and visit with our good friends Heather and Collin in Bethesda, MD. Then all the Gemignanis ventured out to Woodstock, VA where Jennie & Chris have a lovely vacation house called "Massadoah". It's an old farmhouse on a beautiful stretch of land next to the Shenandoah river. They share the house with 14 other families - like their own private time-share. A wonderful time was had by all!

The lions were all out at the National Zoo.

As were the orangutans that got up on the famous "O-Line" that hangs above the Zoo.
Sweet cousins: Megan & Maya.

Uncle Scott & Miles.

And then it was off to the National Botanical Gardens.
Massadoah
One of many tubing adventures begins!

Here we are waiting for a group to float down past us.

Hiking back up to the house after a nice dip in the river. (Did I mention it was in the 90's the entire trip!!)

Olivia tried on EVERYONE'S shoes --
I think she's sporting Maya's flip-flops in this shot!

Olivia had such a great time with all her cousins.
Here is Maya sharing her ice pop with Livvy.

We all took a trip to visit the Shenandoah Caverns one morning --
it was the perfect place to beat the heat - 56 degrees!

Lila chomping some watermelon!

We even had minor surgery! - Here Tony removes some stitches from Mary's wrist : )

Cooling off with her cousins in the kiddie-pool.

Tony and company put together a really nice surprise slideshow to commemorate Mary's recent retirement.

The Crazy Clan.

Our crazy clan.

And, of course, fireworks!
